Steelers running back Willie Parker isn't optimistic about playing in Detroit. An injured left big toe kept Parker out of the Steelers' 38-28 victory over San Diego on Sunday and Rashard Mendenhall ran for 165 yards and two touchdowns in his place. With Mendenhall pushing to replace him as the starter, Parker didn't practice Wednesday because his toe still hasn't healed.

But the Steelers might need this current first-round bust to shape up real quick because starting running back Willie Parker has a case of turf toe. Parker’s toe could force him to miss some practice time this week, so the team may look to add another player in case he can’t play Sunday. But if he can’t Mendenhall will probably get a good amount of carries, if he can get his practice details right.
